Anyhoo, I'm doing a black-and-white photography project entitled "Daydream Nation" (yes, after the Sonic Youth album). Overall, the project is supposed to represent the disenchantment and disillusion of today's youth, all the while focusing on the beauty and allure of it all. I've been inspired by Broken Social Scene's "Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl," and I want to capture that song in a series of photographs.
What can I say? Music inspires my art.
