What makes us watch it?

MTV's "Super Sweet Sixteen," the show you love to hate. I guess what makes this show so popular is that all the people there are spoiled and horrible, and that simply makes an interesting and entertaining show to watch. If anything, I'd compare it to like watching animals attack their trainers -- you can't help but watch the monstrosity and horror unfold. More importantly, I think what makes us watch "Super Sweet Sixteen" is the high prospect that something will screw up their embellished and expensive-as-hell plans and their "oh-so-perfect" life has a kink in it. This has to be the most logical reason why it got picked up for a second season.

No one I ever known had a lavished sweet sixteen party like they do on the show, but that's because no one was that rich and coddled. I'd expect that kind of stuff happening in at least neighboring rich-as-fuck Glen Ellyn, but I was never that popular with my fellow high school students.

People like that should go to the westside of Chicago and get mugged and shot.

In all honesty, I get that way when people go some where for Spring Break, except instead of getting mugged and shot by Crip gang members, they get eaten by a shark or a Vegas slot machine collapses on them. I don't have the money to book a ticket to go anywhere outside the state of Illinois, mainly because I'm unemployed. However, in the off-chance that I did have money, I'd spend it to buy a new camera or at least go somewhere that doesn't glorify binge-drinking and Girls Gone Wild promos -- mayhaps NYC or London.

I guess I have matured a little, huh?
